What to pay attention to when you are about take part in a..



  • While accompanied by one of our guides a valid car driving license, a snowmobile license or a moped or tractor license is required to drive a snowmobile. If you do not match those requirements, you can ride in a sled (pulka), which our partner Hotell Klimpfjäll can provide, pulled by a driver with a valid license  or sit behind a driver.
  • Children under 16 years old must be tall enough to reach the handlebar with their hands and reach the footrests with their feet in order to ride behind a parent as a passenger. Otherwise they will ride in a sled (pulka) pulled by the guide. Small children and Babies must be accompanied by an adult in the sled.
  • All drivers must be 100% sober. The guides have the right to deny guests under the influence of alcohol or other drugs to participate in our guided tours.

Self liability:

  • If you rent a snowmobile from one of our partners, make sure to check their rules and regulations in case of an accident that damages the snowmobile or other traffic participants.
  • Snowmobiles are insured as required by the Finnish Traffic Insurance Act. This insurance covers medical care for personal injuries caused by an accident to the driver, the passenger (if any) as well as any outside party, as determined in the policy of the insurance company. Personal travel insurance is still recommended.
  • As our guides have over 20 years of experience in snowmobile driving, you can be sure that we will guide you through the Swedish mountains in a competent way, having your safety as our first priority. Therefore you must at all times observe and obey your guide’s safety instructions! Furthermore we require you to sign a waiver before participating in a guided tour.


  • Follow your guide at all times and observe hand signals for communication during the tour.
  • Both drivers and passengers must wear clothes that are appropriate to the weather and conditions as well as solid shoes.
  • According to Swedish law a helmet are required while driving a snowmobile.
  • While driving on a snowmobile trail, keep on the right hand side watching for oncoming traffic.
  • The highest permitted speed for a snowmobile is 70 km/h. In certain areas there are other local speed limits.
  • Yield to oncoming skiers, dog sleds, other snowmobiles, cars, other pedestrians and animals.
  • If you see a moose or a reindeer on one of our safaris it is essential to disturb them as little as possible.
  • Please ensure to respect our countryside and nature and do not leave any rubbish behind.
  • On icy surfaces such as lakes and creeks, proceed with extra caution due to reduced traction
  • Maintain a safe distance to other snowmobiles around 15 meters. While stopping and breaks this distance may be reduced to 2-3 meters.
  • If you are getting separated from the group, stop immediately. The guide will return to you and assist you.
  • If you have any special medical problems or special medical needs, please let us know beforehand and the guide before the start of your tour.
  • We reserve the right to cancel tours due to weather conditions. In a case like that you will be refunded with the whole amount you paid.

We reserve the right to change the tours by the following conditions: 

  • Deciding if a guest should rather be a passenger than driving a snowmobile themselves, do to safety reasons.
  • Changing the starting point or route due to the weather conditions.
